Of the persons who have abandoned the Hillsong enterprises and who I have interviewed, the two recurring themes in their testimonies are: 1) lack of belonging through lack of fellowship, and 2) lack of substantial Biblical edification. From testimonies of former Hillsect members, it is clear that authentic relationships and Christian fellowship is a prime reason for their abandonment.

Although Hillsong Brisbane neither overtly nor covertly excommunicated Torsten as all other Hillsect leaders have done, Hillsong Brisbane did not invite to Christian fellowship. However, it is understandable that Hillsong Brisbane evaded the question about fellowship since deficiency of authentic fellowship is one of the most outstanding aspects of the Hillsect enterprises.

After nearly one month, your Hillsong Brisbane finally decided to reply.

No, I did not ask about your well known "welcome lounge", but I asked your "church" an upfront question regarding opportunities to meet and communicate with other Christians.

I have visited Hillsong "welcome lounges" many times previously. I will never again set foot inside such a superficial Hillsong "welcome lounge" circumstance. And no, attending your Hillsong "services" is absolutely not an opportunity to meet and communicate authentically.

Instead of evasion of a useful answer to my question, please do answer the question with useful information: Are there occasions of fellowship in your congregation where also single Christians in the age bracket 30-39 (maybe also late 20’s) gather and communicate? Are there fellowship groups, community groups, cell groups or small groups in your church that I can attend and develop friendships?

Although I know that Hillsong in reality primarily seeks self-promotion of the Hillsong enterprise and Hillsong label, with superficial gatherings for stage-focused hybrid Christianity/entertainment business, there might actually also be one or two real Christian females with an intellect and honesty who are stuck within your company but who are praying to God to meet a husband of God's choosing.

Please answer pragmatically with useful information.

Thank you for your email.

We would love to have you here at our church , in order to meet people the best way is to attend any of our services on a weekend either Friday night 6:30pm, Sunday 8:00am, 9:45am, 11:30am and 5:00pm.

At any of these services you can go into our welcome lounge and get connected into church which allows you to meet people your age. Our age group “Frontline” is a group of 25-35 year olds who have connect groups once a fortnight around Brisbane and encounter nights (one every 6-8 weeks). The best way to get connected into any of these connect groups is to attend the services, connect with people in this age group in the welcome lounge and then see which connect groups are located in your suburb/area and which connect group suits you. The services in which most of this age group attend is the 6:30pm service on a Friday or the 5:00pm.
