Christ Church London, United Kingdom,
partially excommunicates an innocent visitor.

Christ Church London is an example of a London church that ceased to reply to an inquiry, and covertly excommunicated an innocent visitor. In the beginning, Christ Church London appeared to be a welcoming church, but the church office soon decided to neither verify nor answer questions concerning a suspected partial excommunication of the visitor. After the church’s initial refusal to communicate and verify the partial excommunication, Christ Church London later confirmed through their elder that I had in fact been excommunicated from their church’s fellowship groups, and the church confirmed other bans against me.

During a scheduled interview with the delegated spokesperson for Christ Church London (church elder Ross Bull), it became apparent that Christ Church London was not intending to be entirely honest with me, and that this church is more disturbed about a Christian man wanting to marry a Christian woman, than the church is concerned with their church leaders’ slander, gossip, and shunning against an innocent visitor. If I would have sinned against anyone in their church, the Bible is clear in Matthew 18:15-17, to first ”confront him while the two of you are alone”. Instead, what the Christ Church London has done against me is to gossip, slander me, shun me, and partially excommunicate me because I have declared on my website that I want to marry a Christian woman.

At the interview with the representative for Christ Church London on August 2 ,2012, I asked their church-elder Ross Bull (http://christchurchlondon.org/leadershipteam) these four question:

1.     Why is my application to join the 25+ group still pending?

2.     Am I banned from the LifeGroup lead by Nick Mole?

3.     Is there a welcoming LifeGroup in Christ Church London for me?

4.     Are there opportunities in your church for single people to meet and communicate?

With pen and paper, I wrote some notes of the church-elder’s replies to my questions. After my introduction and explanation to why I requested this inquiry, the church-elder stated broadly what others in his church are saying about me (behind my back), and their concern (behind my back):

·          “They [the church staff, leaders and members] are saying: You have a different approach. […] How should we be responding to his requests? […] How can we help?”

·          “They [the church staff, leaders and members] are concerned: […] picking up an unusual focused manner which makes them unsettled.”

Question 1: Why is my application to join the 25+ group still pending?

Answer: “They [church staff and leaders] got caught up in this unsettledness.”, “It got left.”, “They have been procrastinating.”

Question 2: Am I banned from the LifeGroup lead by Nick Mole?

Answer: “He has chosen to pass that to his pastor and coach.”

Q: Have you heard that he [Nick Mole] has spoken to other people in the church about me?

A: “Yes.”

Q: Would you say that he and other LifeGroup leaders have followed Biblical principles for communication?

A: “He should have communicated first to the eldership. That has now come to me as the responsible person.”

Q: How did the LifeGroup leader Nick Mole’s concern regarding me come to you?

A: “Through other staff members.”

Question 3: Is there a welcoming LifeGroup in Christ Church London for me?

Answer: “…people had picked up…”, “…left people with unease.”

Q: How had people in your church “picked up”?

A: “They picked up by communicating among LifeGroup leaders.”

Q: Was there anything ungodly, objectionable or inappropriate about my conduct, either in any LifeGroup setting or in any Sunday service?

A: “There was nothing inappropriate from you in the services or in the socials.”

Q: Then what is the inappropriate aspect about me?

A: “It has been comments on your objective to find a wife.

Q: From where did this information about finding a wife come?

A: “From emails [posted on my website: http://www.kyrkor.be/Inhumane_Swedish_Pastors.pdf]. Maybe also from conversations.”

Question 4: Are there opportunities in your church for single people to meet and communicate?

Answer: “We don’t organise things like that. It is left to be organic.

Even though Christ Church London is one of the more centrally organised churches in London, utilising technologically aided social networking (https://christchurchlondon.onthecity.org/login), Christ Church London stated to me that their church does not organise opportunities for single people to meet and communicate. However, Christ Church London does effectively orchestrate obstructions against my possibility of participation in their organised opportunities where also single people can meet and communicate. Christ Church London banned me from their largest online social networking group “25+”, Christ Church London banned me from all their weekly LifeGroup fellowship groups, and, not only Christ Church London leaders but also several regular church members shunned me when I visited their Sunday service.

The ministers, staff and group leaders of Christ Church London, United Kingdom, prove to be a cowardly, slandering, and gossiping. And, the evasion of answers to questions 3 & 4 (if I am welcome, and if there are social opportunities) by the church elder of Christ Church London, Ross Bull, perhaps adorns this church elder with an appropriate surname. Christ Church London of Newfrontiers truly is devilish.

Christ Church London -- including the cowardly and devilish church staff.

Hello again.

My application to join the 25+ group is still pending. Why? Attached is a screen clip. Am I banned from the online group called +25?

Also, I have contacted most of your churches' listed Life Groups with inquiry about participation. Only three replied. One Life Group was simply onsite unwelcoming. A second Life Group catared for kindergarten-style games and with a false and pretentious social climate, with no room for honest conversation. And the third Life Group was welcoming and on-site friendly, but it appears that their Life-Group is shunning me without a given reason.

Am I banned from the third Life Group lead by Nick Mole? If so, why? Attached beneath is the correspondence.

Is there a welcoming Life Group in your church that values socially honest communication?

Are there any opportunities in your church for single people to meet and communicate?

Regards,

Torsten Nenzen

Hello Tanya,

Please be very careful when you accuse me of not speaking the truth. Especially as you provide nothing to support your accusation. My letters with inquiry of explanation is simply relating to the facts. Since I have contacted the group leader Nick Mole and the Christ Church London office on numerous occasions, and both the Life Group leader and the Christ Church London office refuse to explain or reply, I am only inquiring to know the truth; reasons for evasion of communication. If your Christ Church London refuses to justify or explain its bahaviour, then will it nor be logical to deduce that your church is banning and shunning?

Hi Torsten,

Thank you for your email.

I am not sure what you are talking about here (it sounds all very emotional from your side), but I know that you got in touch with me and my husband who lead the Vauxhall Life Group (well, have been until recently, as we were going through a lot of transitions). My husband Alastair did reply to you telling you about that, which by no means was an act of making you feel unwelcome. So you definitely heard from at least four Life Groups.

Unfortunately, our group is now folding for personal reasons, which means it wouldn't have been wise if us to invite you to a group that is about to fold. So what you said in your email is not true...

As I said I am sorry you felt this way.

Warm regards,

Tanya

Hi Torsten,

I'm not sure what the reason would be other than the person who created and oversees the group on the City may not have logged on for the past couple of weeks. The group itself is not run by anyone in the CCL office but by a member of ChristChurch.

I've cc'd in Ed who looks after a lot of the City admin for us in the office- he may be able to approve your request or see who looks after the group.

Kind regards,

Holly

Hi Torsten,

Apologies for the delay in replying to your email. As you may have seen from my out of office reply, I have been off sick for some time and have not managed to reply to all my emails.

Thanks for your email. You are welcome to come along to our life group if you'd like to, though we don't currently have any single people in it. Please let me know if you'd like details.

A couple of other suggestions for meeting people at ChristChurch - go along to All Bar One after the 4pm service. Many people have found this a great environment to make friends and meet new people and it is well attended. There is also a group on the city for slightly older people in ChristChurch. The group is called 25+ and I think they organise lunches for over 25s to hang out together and get to know each other.

I hope this helps, do let me know if you would like to visit our LG or if you want any more details of the things I've mentioned.

Helen

I am a Christian single man visiting here in London for some time. I seek a Christian community where I also can find opportunities to fellowship, socialise, meet and talk with other Christian singles. As many people understand; without interpersonal communication Christian relationships between opposite genders cannot emerge.

Are there opportunities in your Life Group where also single Christians can communicate?
