Christian meetings |
Dear Bridgeman Baptist Church,
Hi.
I visited your church at the evening "service" on Sunday May 4, 2014 - more than a week ago. I handed my contact details to Mr. Sweetman - the father of the senior pastor Peter Sweetman. To Mr. Sweetman I stated that I seek opportunities to meet and communicate with other Christian singles, as I need to marry a woman. Mr. Sweetman responded by asking me if I were willing to marry a divorced woman with children. I replied (with concealed disgust) that I am not a typical church-person, but that I am actually a Bible-believing Christian, and therefore I would never consider marrying a divorced woman. Mr. Sweetman responded that he too was a Christian and that he therefore saw divorce/marriage differently from my perspective. We courteaously disagreed. I asked Mr. Sweetman if people in his church fellowshipped, to which he replied that some people meet in groups. I then said to Mr. Sweetman that I would like to meet other singles in such groups.
Why have your church not contacted me regarding occasions to meet and communicate with other single Christians?
Are there occasions of fellowship in your congregation where also single Christians in the age bracket 30-39 (maybe also late 20’s) gather and communicate? Are there fellowship groups, community groups, cell groups or small groups in your church that I can attend and develop friendships?
Best regards,
Torsten Nenzén

Dear Bridgeman Baptist Church,
Hi.
I am a Christian here in Brisbane. I seek a Christian community in Brisbane where I might find opportunities to fellowship, socialise, meet and talk with also Christian singles.
Are there occasions of fellowship in your congregation where also single Christians in the age bracket 30-39 (maybe also late 20’s) gather and communicate? Are there fellowship groups, community groups, cell groups or small groups in your church that I can attend and develop friendships?
Best regards,
